Makai Khichado

Makai Khichado is very tasty and healthy winter special recipe. Populer cuisine for sankranti / uttarayan festival in Gujarat and many part of India.

Serving: For 4 to 5 persons
How To Cook:
Step 1: Coarsely crush corn seeds.
Step 2: Heat oil on low flame in a pan. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, cinnamon, cloves and curry leaves to it. When the seeds pop add crushed corn seeds to it and stir the mixture well.
Step 3: Add salt, grated ginger, green chilly pieces (or 1 tablespoon paste of ginger + chilly), garam masala powder and sugar to it. Mix well.
Step 4: Let the mixture cook on medium heat for some-time. Stir intermittently.
Step 5: When its cooked add lemon juice to it. Turn off the heat and let it rest for five minutes.
Step 6: Serve hot.
