How To Cook:
Step 1 (Prior preparation): Soak wheat in 1-2 liter water. Next day change the water of soaked wheat. Repeat the process for next 4-5 days.
Step 2: Fill a vessel with 2-2.5 liter water. Add salt and baking soda and allow it to come to boil on high flame.
Step 3: Now add the soaked wheat to boiling water and cook it well.
Step 4: When cooked, remove it from heat and drain the water. Wash the wheat 4-5 times with normal water.
Step 5: Spread the wheat on cloth and allow it to get completely dry and crisp under sunlight.
Step 6: Now roast the wheat on low flame in a ves
...sel with continuous stirring till they bloat in size.
Step 7: Heat oil on low flame in a vessel. Add the roasted wheat, red chilly powder, salt, chat masala and powdered sugar to it. Stir the mixture well.
Step 8: Diet wheat chevda is ready to it. You can also add lemon juice to it to enhance the taste while eating.
Wheat Chevda Bhel:
Add 1 small sized finely chopped tomato, 1 small sized finely chopped onion, 1 finely chopped cucumber, 1/2 finely chopped beetroot, finely chopped coriander leaves, spicy green chutney and date (khajur) chutney to wheat chevda for bhel.
