Palak Paneer

Palak paneer is a vegetarian dish, consisting of paneer in a thick paste made from puréed spinach/palak.

Serving: For 5 to 7 persons
How To Cook:
Step 1: Cut Spinach leaves into big pieces. Boil them in a pressure cooker. After cooling, grind them in a mixture-grinder to form a thick paste and then keep aside for sometime.
Step 2: Apply some salt on pieces of cottage cheese and steam boil them or else, fry them in oil and put in warm water.
Step 3: Form a paste of Onion and Garlic in mixture-grinder and keep it aside.
Step 4: Heat ghee in a vessel. Add cumin seeds to it and allow to pop. Add Onion-garlic paste and stir till light pink. Now add ginger-chilly paste to it. Stir well for two minutes on low flame.

...d spinach paste, tomato pulp/tomato sauce and boiled pieces of cottage cheese to it. Add salt, chilly powder and Punjabi masala to it. Mix and stir well the mixture intermittently on low flame till it gains a thick consistency.
Step 6: Garnish it with milk cream and serve with Naan or Paratha.
