Paneer Bhurji

Paneer bhurji is a popular North Indian dish/sabji made with Indian cottage cheese/paneer, herbs and ground spices. Paneer bhurji can also be used as a stuffing for dishes like frankie, bread rolls, etc.

Serving: For 4 to 5 persons
How To Cook:
Step 1: Soak melon seeds for 30 minutes in water and then crush it to form a fine paste.
Step 2: Crush onions and tomatoes separately.
Step 3: Form a paste of ginger and garlic.
Step 4: Heat oil in a vessel and add crushed onion paste to it. Stir well till brown. Now add ginger-garlic paste and sit well for 2-3 minutes. Now add melon seeds paste, turmeric powder, red-chilly powder, chopped coriander, Punjabi garam masala and salt to it and stir well.
Step 5: Now add crushed tomatoes to it. Add a cup of water to it and let it come to boil. Now add cream to the mixture.
St...ep 6: On the other side simultaneously boil paneer with help of steam. Now grate half amount of paneer and cut pieces of other half.
Step 7: Pour the grated and pieced paneer into gravy and let it cook for 5-7 minutes on low flame.
Step 8: Before serving add nutmeg powder to the gravy and mix well. Serve hot with parathas.
Note:If you don't want to boil paneer you can add it to the gravy with 1/4 teaspoon aji no moto.
