Maharashtrian Masala Bhaat recipe is combination of spices and vegetables, popular as tiffin box recipe or lunch box recipe and mostly served for breakfast or lunch.

Maharashtrian Masala Bhaath

Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Level Of Cooking: Easy

Serving: For 4 to 5 persons

Ingredients:

Rice- 200gm
Potato- 1 Medium Sized
Green Peas- 25-30gm
Onion- 1 Medium Sized
Carrot- 1 (finely Chopped)
Oil- 1 Tablespoon
Mustard Seeds- 1/2 Tablespoon
Curry Leaves- 5-6
Garlic Paste- Use 3-4 Cloves
Green Chilly- 1-2 Pieces
Turmeric Powder- 1/2 Tablespoon
Red Chilly Powder- 1/4 Tablespoon
Salt- As Per Taste

How To Cook:

Step 1: Finely chop potato, onion, carrot and green chillies. Thoroughly wash rice and rinse it.

Step 2: Heat a pan with oil on medium heat. Add mustard seeds to it. When they start popping, add curry leaves, garlic paste and chopped green chillies to it. When the ingredients start turning brown add the remaining chopped vegetables to it. Saute them for sometime.

Step 3: Add the washed rice to it and mix it well with the mixture. Add 200-250ml water to it.

Step 4: Add salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder to it.

Step 5: Allow it to cook properly on a medium flame. Remove it fro...m flame when all the ingredients are cooked well.

Step 6: Masala Rice is ready. Serve it hot with curd.
