Sambhar (Farali) : Ingredients List:

















Yam: 100 gm, Purple yam: 100gm, Potato: 100gm, Groundnut powder: 50 gm, Cumin seeds: 1 tablespoon, Lemon Juice: 1-2 tablespoon, Cinnamon powder: 1/4 teaspoon, Clove powder: 1/4 teaspoon, Curry leaves: 8-10, Grated coconut: 2 tablespoon, Ginger-chilly paste: 2 tablespoon, Red-chilly powder: 1 tablespoon, Finely Chopped coriander: 1 tablespoon, Cumin-coriander powder: 1 tablespoon, Oil: 2 tablespoon (to tamper), Salt: as per taste

Preparation Method :

Step 1: Peel Yam, Purple yam and potato. Wash them in boiling water.

Step 2: Boil Yam, Purple yam, potato and groundnut powder in cooker with 600-700ml water.

Step 3:
After boiling crush the ingredients in a mixture-grinder.

Step 4:
Add Ginger-chilly paste, Red-chilly powder, Curry leaves, Grated coconut, lemon-juice, cumin-coriander powder and salt to the paste. Mix well.

Step 5:
Heat oil in a vessel and tamper cumin seeds, Cinnamon powder and clove powder on low flame. When tampered add it to the prepared sambhar mixture.

Step 6:
Heat the sambhar mixture on a low flame for 10-15 minutes. After that remove it from heat and serve hot.
